He Will Lead Us Home

Lord Jesus is my faithful Friend,

He shed His blood for me.

On Him I always can depend,

from sin to set me free.

Oh Lord above how great You are,

that You would hear my plea.

That when I called You from afar,

‘t is You Who answered me.

Lord Jesus is a faithful Friend,

He gave His life for all.

And all who of their sin repent,

‘t is then they hear His call.

Yet all who answer to His call

at times may fall and stray.

But He is there each time we fall

and hears us when we pray.

When we are His, He knows His own.

He’ll guide us day by day.

Our Shepherd, He will lead us home,

His voice we will obey.

And when our walk on earth is done,

He’ll lead us by His hand.

Yes, all He’ll say to us is: Come!

Jesus our faithful Friend.
