In His Keep
I know that I have been forgiven
and by His mercy was set free.
By pride and greed I was much driven,
my Saviour paid my debt for me.
I now rejoice in my good fortune
and praise my Lord for His salvation.
His mercy and His love devine
will henceforth all of me refine.
All I deserve is His damnation,
yet mercy He has shown to me.
He's made of me a new creation,
't was His Son's blood that set me free.
How can I comprehend such love,
that He sends me from up above?
In answer to my feeble plea,
He showered mercy down on me.
I know in Whom I can believe now
and will tell all who questions ask.
Allegiance to Him I avow
and I will strive to do my task:
To tell the world about His mercy
and for His goal for mankind lobby.
Tell all who seek about His love
that He beams to us from above.
My faith in Him cannot be taken,
for I am His and in His keep.
Although at times I may feel shaken,
my Saviour's Guard is not asleep.
Should I be weak, He will be strong
and take me back where I belong.
For 't is His love, His love alone,
will guide me to th' eternal throne.
