Bless His Holy Name

Men sought to harm us and to do us woe

and like a flood would sweep us all away.

Our Lord was on our side against our foe.

His power and His might did save our day.

Sing praise to God His people here below.

Sing praise to Him and bless His holy name.

For He has saved us from their teeth as prey.

We called our Lord and to our aid He came,

lo in our need He kept our foes at bay.

Praise be to God, His mighty deeds proclaim.

We have escaped like birds fleeing their cage.

Our Lord has been our present help in need.

He has defeated our foes in their rage.

Maker of heaven and the earth indeed,

His love for us endures from age to age.
