The Lord Is My Shepherd
A paraphrase on Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all my needs.
He finds me green pastures, to still waters He leads.
While my soul restoring, to straight paths He leads.
My Shepherd protects me, I never need fear.
Ev’n in the dark valleys, my Shepherd is still near.
‘t Is then He supports me, with comfort and cheer.
My table He does set in sight of my foes.
With oil for anointing that over my head flows,
my cup ‘s running over, His love for me shows.
The Lord is my Shepherd, His mercy and grace
will follow me always when I seek my Lord’s face.
Forever in heaven, I may sing Him praise.
