Oh joyous day when Christ returns victorious,

to rule this world and finally bring peace.

Then life on earth will evermore be glorious

and terror, hate and all the wars shall cease.

His coming is foretold in Holy Scripture.

Still no one knows the time, the day or hour.

For that will be our Father’s will and pleasure.

But Christ will come in glory, might and pow’r.

Be vigilant and pray for His returning.

For any time the trumpet call may sound.

Sing praise and fill your heart and soul with yearning,

when trusting Him you are on solid ground.
