LIKE THE RISING SUN
Your love is like the rising
sun
Your love is like the rising sun
Your love is like the rising sun
Ever faithful
Your joy, like flowers in
the Spring
Your joy, like flowers in the Spring
Your joy, like flowers in the Spring
So delightful
Your peace, a shelter from
the storm
Your peace, a shelter from the storm
Your peace, a shelter from the storm
Safe and restful
Your love is like the rising
sun
Your joy, like flowers in the Spring
Your peace, a shelter from the storm
And Lord we're grateful (repeat this verse)
And Lord we're grateful, Lord we're so grateful...

Like The Rising Sun
Written while driving on
Route 89 in Vermont,
going to visit my brother, Tom, in Waterbury.
A Christian "walking
through the jungle" song...
(you need to hear Ralph's MP3 to understand what we mean)
The second verse was
inspired by a beautiful tulip I saw
at the Crossroads Study Center in Framingham MA.
The third verse came from
the following story
"Years ago, a major art gallery sponsored a
competition for painters
and they were offering prizes for the best painting on the subject of "Peace."
The painting that won was a real surprise.
The scene was the ocean in a violent storm.
The sky was ominous, the lightning was cutting across the sky,
and the waves were crashing into the rock walls of the cliffs by the shore.
Where was the peace? You had to look twice to understand what was going on.
There, about halfway up the cliff, was a birds' nest
tucked into a tiny hollow in the rock. A mother bird
was sitting on that nest with her little babies tucked underneath her,
sleeping soundly. That was peace!
