We are
teaching our Malay/Chinese church three New Hope songs
this coming Palm Sunday: "Hosanna
(It’s Jesus!)", "Holy, Holy, Holy"
and "Hallelujah, Jesus is Lord".
I have used your music before and
love what you are all doing.
We are an
English speaking church but
I bet I can get your songs translated into Mandarin and Bahassa Maylay
for wider distribution. Wouldn’t it be great to have your songs sung in
the Underground church of China !? (Doug,
from Malaysia)
TESTIMONIES & BACKGROUND
Written
during the Sunday School hour at New Hope Chapel,
after reading this verse in a "Promises of God" booklet.
`I was looking for songs for my Sunday School class...
these sound very interesting.
I sing some of them during devotion services.
I am a Sunday School teacher and deaconess in a Baptist Church
I use "Center Of My Soul"... it is truly
beautiful. Also "Abba Father",
"Bringing
The Presence Of Jesus", "Holy, Holy, Holy"
and " Open My Eyes".
(Cora, from Massachusetts)
I want you to know that I can't
play this song "Holy, Holy, Holy"
without crying.
It touches me so... it brings me right into the presence of my Holy Father
God!
Thank you so much... I also like "If
We Walk In The Light" with the calypso
beat.
It has a way of sending me into a dance of Joy in the Lord!
(email
from Shirley)
I have to tell you an really amazing story!
This month we are working at a camp in Mississippi that was hard hit by
hurricane Katrina. This week during our morning devotional time, one of
our SOWER couples gave us a beautiful new song to learn and that song was
"Holy, Holy, Holy" written by Ralph P. Merrifield of New Hope Music.
This
couple, Harry and Judi Kreager, from Michigan, both play several
instruments (guitar, dulcimer etc) and have visited your web site and use
several of your songs. ("Center of My Soul" and "When I Am
Afraid")
She told me that one of her good friends plays "Center of My Soul" on
her
autoharp and surely the angels rejoice!!!
Stan and I nearly fell off our seats when we realized that we knew who
Ralph Merrifield was.
So, we just wanted to tell you how really amazing God is to have Him put
your song in our devotion time. It just proves to us all over again, how
small and wonderful the Christian circle is.
May the Lord continue to use your gift of music for His glory and for the
blessing to the body of Christ.
In His great JOY,
Carlie Buttrick (SOWER Ministries)
A description of SOWER
(Servants on Wheels Ever Ready)
We are retired people, with RV's, that travel all over this
country (Alaska & Mexico inc.) and serve the Lord as a "helps"
ministry
at Christian camps, schools, conference centers and churches. By
"helps"
I mean we do manual labor which frees up our hosts to further the
Gospel. There are 2700 of us in the ministry with about 900 active at
present.
