Mark is a songwriter and senior pastor of Lord of Life Church, the Sovereign Grace church in Indiana, PA, where he has led worship since 1976. An internationally known songwriter, Mark has published more than 150 songs with Sovereign Grace Ministries, including his most well-know like "I Stand in Awe", "One Pure and Holy Passion", and "I'm Forever Grateful".   

Among others, his songs have been recorded by Sovereign Grace Ministries (formerly PDI Ministries), Integrity Music, Glad, Anne Herring, Matthew Ward, and others. 

Mark has lived in the Indiana area since childhood. He and his wife, Kristi, have four children. His pastoral training and ordination came in 1982, through the original pastor of the church, Brent Detwiler, who now has responsibility for a number of other churches in the U.S.   Mark has written on worship for numerous magazines and is a popular speaker at worship conferences.  He was featured in the November/December 1999 Worship Leader magazine "Song Stories" column.
