Encouraging people around the world since 1991 !!

Our background MIDI is "Heavens and Earth",
written by Ralph Merrifield,
arranged by Fred Scorza (from Pennsylvania)

Finnish translation by Lea Alaja,
choir arrangement by Marja Väisänen

A month ago we sang your song "Taivaat ja maan"
(Heavens And Earth) in the church service....
We have also been singing "Taivaat ja maan" several times in hospitals.

This song brings joy and life to hospitals and elderly people's home during
this dark and rainy fall season.  Praising and exalting the name of the
Lord gives comfort and encouragement also to us as we sing.

Listen to the Greater Grace Choir of Finland
sing this song in Finnish!

Taivaat Ja Maan
(Heavens And Earth)

Taivaat ja maan
(Heavens And Earth)

1. Kiittäkää Herraa, Hän hyvä on,
herrojen Herra, Jumalamme.
Hän tekee ihmeitä luomakunnassaan.
Armonsa kestää ainiaan,
armonsa kestää ainiaan.

Taivaat ja maan,
valtameret ja tähdet,
auringon, kuun ja päivän ja yön
Hän tehnyt on.

2. Kiitämme Sinua, niin hyvä oot,
herrojen Herra, Jumalamme.
Ihmeitä teet luomakunnassas.
Armosi kestää ainiaan,
armosi kestää ainiaan.

Taivaat ja maan,
valtameret ja tähdet,
auringon, kuun ja päivän ja yön
Sä tehnyt oot.

Translation from the Finnish words to English:

1. Thank the Lord, He is good,
the Lord of lords, our God.
He does wonders in His creation.
His mercy endures forever,
His mercy endures forever.

Heavens and earth,
oceans and stars,
sun, moon and day and night
He has made.

2. We thank You, so good You are,
Lord of lords, our God.
You do wonders in your creation.
Your mercy endures forever,
Your mercy endures forever,

Heavens and earth,
oceans and stars,
sun, moon and day and night
You have made

During this Christmas season, my friend Marja and I have translated 4 of your songs into Finnish ("Abba Father", "Heavens And Earth", "Robe Of Righteousness"
"To The Rock"
).   I send you here the Finnish words and also the translations from Finnish words to English, so you can see how we have translated them.
Marja is also doing choir arrangements to the songs...  we'll send the notes to you when they are written.

Because the Finnish language is so different from English with a plenty of syllables,  we had to make some changes in words
and in the duration of some notes, but we think the idea and the spirit of the songs is the same as you had...
